The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise. The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program. The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December. The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final. Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. "Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters." The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history. He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins. His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record. "To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international. Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year. "I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
